I think that for the first time for quite a few years we
actually appeared in the ring twice on every day & were not prevented by the weather. It's usually too hot or too wet!
Special thanks go to Barbara & Michael & family who held the fort on the Friday while Martyn & I attended a family
wedding. Also well done to the youngsters Amy, Paige & Bill who handled dogs & carts through all the crowds so well.
This year we all were able to pack up leisurely & leave the site without queues & short tempers, much better for all of us.
It was sad to hear that Ann & Brian Rose who were
carters for many years with us lost their last Bernese Sage, at the great age of 12 years.

After a wet week the sun shone for this popular one-day show and as long as you wore the appropriate attire
ie: wellies, you were ok. We were kept busy all day meeting and greeting.
With sheep and Highland cattle, llama's and pigmy goat's, floral displays and handicrafts, the shire horses and dog show, pigeons, rabbits and budgies, and of course the
beautiful Bernese dogs, there was something to entertain everyone.
There is also a good walk close by where the dogs can take a dip in the river after a hard days work to either cool down or in this case wash the mud off.

For the first time ever we have had to cancel going to a show due to a variety of reasons, people ill, bitches on heat, dogs poorly at the vets and people on holiday. Lets hope it never happens again!
